The ghost child appeared briefly in the Forest when the STEM Club first tried to find the terminals before the Chosen-wide event dropped.

Upon scanning items with a tricorder, all objects in the environment display not-unexpected genetic makeup.

Prior to the first reset of Aldrip revealed more-or-less a "hole" within the surroundings, which characters likened to an area that failed to load or a holodeck/rec room without any sort of program running. Investigating this was exceptionally challenging and resulted in great discomfort the more someone tried to examine it/approach it.
