Built in the meadowlands with the help of a number of hands, Astralin's farm is home to a number of animals: various pigs including at least two mountain boar piglets; cows, horses, and sheep which graze on the land; and a coop full of chickens and roosters. A blue motorbike can sometimes be seen being stored in the barn.
The animals are never killed for their meat, making this more santuary than farm. Appropriately, anyone who bears ill-intent will find that the area is well-protected by magic.
An addition to the farm, Astralin has recently added a hot springs near the farm where fellow Chosen can relax. Astralin himself may sometimes be there to supervise and greet guests, but when he's not, Scramble or someone from Aldrip will be there in his place. (The Aldrip citizen may be able to provide massages and other services. Just ask them!)
There's a japanese inspired look to the hot springs, thanks to Kotone's influence. It is kept clean at all times, and towels are provided for guests. Astralin has also begun to stock up snacks that are provided at the entrance to the hot springs.
Guests will also notice that his magical barrier extends out to the hot springs as well, but that is simply to keep them protected while they are at their most vulnerable.
Founded by Dazai Osamu, the bar is located on the basement level, hence, there are no windows. As quiet as a bear cave, the bar is well stocked—the counter, seats, walls lined with rows and rows of empty bottles, taciturn regulars, and the bartender in his red vest.
Because so many things have been squeezed into this tight underground space, the walkway only allows for two people to squeeze past one another. The items in the shop have witnessed the passage of time, giving guests the feeling of being suspended in their time.
Before Kotone Shiomi, this building was in disrepair and was nothing more than a warehouse used for storage. It has since been cleaned up cleared out, and could now almost pass for a school practice building. It offers a gym complete with lockers, showers, and various sporting equipment such as balls, nets, and even wooden practice weapons.
There are also classrooms for those who want a quiet place to “study” or just hang out, but the building is open-use, as Kotone will happily remind you. Chosen are free to attend whichever clubs they wish, whenever they wish. A tentative schedule can be seen for the following club meetings at any given time:
The Willow Clinic is run out of a two-story house near the farmlands. Although somewhat old-fashioned in appearance, it's equipped to deal with the kind of sudden, serious injuries that can come from accidents on the farm, and therefore also the kind of events that happen around the Chosen. There are a couple of examination rooms / surgeries, a waiting area, and a kitchen that serves as the staff's break room downstairs. Upstairs are subdivided bedrooms for those who need to stay overnight. Members of the Arztenritter are employed here, either full-time or on an as-needed basis, and there are a few townspeople who help out as technicians.
Kotone did not ask for this arcade to show up, but it's here! Its primary games are Punching Bag, Mole Whackers, Lucky Fortune, Quiz Game, Print Club, and Horror House (stats list for Persona nerds), as well as a crane game -- but honestly, it's just an arcade. If it would be a game appropriate for an arcade up to the mid-00s, odds are you'll find it here! Kotone will rotate prizes around for fun, so feel free to use your imagination -- if it's a cute(ish) plushie, candy, or an accessory that can be easily found in the world via trade with any of the towns, or is a Jack Frost doll, a Ganesha Bank (a piggy bank that looks like this guy), or a not-easily-perishable Japanese candy, assume your character could potentially win it! There will also be candy or accessory prizes available from other games.
⛪ Church of Many Faiths⇁ [William G Maryblood] [strength_of_will] [📜]
A humble place of worship originally for Those Who Were There, now a safe space for a myriad of other tokens and icons of deities from the Chosens' various homelands. All are welcome here.
[A bar from The Lanes. It has loud music, a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic choices. The bar is open from 2 pm to 2 am every day and dance parties are from 10 pm to close. The Last Drop's exterior looks like this and interior looks like this. There are a lot of neon lights and smoke machines after dark, so come and enjoy yourself.]
⛪ Ragna's Church⇁ Ragna the Bloodedge [rebellions] [📜]
A modest, wooden church standing in the outskirts of Aldrip, far from the city's hustle and bustle but still close enough that it's not a long trip from the center. The chapel is open to visitors pretty much every day, and if someone wishes to go there to pray to whatever deity they worship, the owner (Ragna) won't stop them... though he might engage in some Insufferable Atheist Discourse™ with them if he's in a bad mood. Otherwise, you're free to stick around as long as you keep quiet and behave. There is a separate living area, though that one is closed to the public.
🌌 [The Aetherochemical Research Facility]⇁ Fandaniel [endcaller] [📜]
A mysterious cyberpunk structure of twisted metal and stone sits on the outskirts of Aldrip overlooking the plains. Upon entering one will find themselves in a high-tech laboratory
In a quaint corner of the city, the Purrfect Cup Café is a delightful haven for cat lovers and coffee enthusiasts alike. As you step inside, you're greeted by an inviting aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the soft purring of playful felines lounging in sunny spots. Guests can enjoy a variety of pastries and specialty drinks while interacting with the adorable cats, many of whom are available for adoption.
But just because this appears to be a cozy atmosphere, doesn't mean there is no chaos. The owner, Jinx, while she remembers very vividly how to make the most excellent beverages from her alternate universe counterpart, cakes and pastries are a different story. They often, if not almost always, turn out horribly and disastrous looking, and it's a real wildcard whether these monstrosity treats are delicious or even edible. And whether you want it or not, Jinx will always give you a free sample of those treats with your drink!
And if you find a bullet shell or a grenade pin when you scoop a spoon full of that cake, consider it as a personal gift from her to you for giving this amazing place a chance. But don't worry, as they say, practice makes perfect, and she'll get the hang of things and nothing will explode..............maybe.
A stately mansion lies to the southeast of Aldrip, one that houses a very particular piece of technology. The current residents have left the building open to allow access to the Danger Room, a holographic combat simulator tucked deep down in one of the basements. There's signs posted to show the Chosen where to find it. More details here.
[It's a strip club that doubles as a brothel in the back. It has tables and chairs for all manner of views of the exotic dancers that perform on multiple stages, and there is also the option for private shows for patrons that would like to have an opportunity to be more hands on with the dancers. There are two full service bars on either side of the open room, and the alcohol flows freely up to a point.
At a request for more personal time, that will be accommodated in the dancing area, or if there is a need for a more subtle request, there is admittance to the brothel portion at the back of the building. Pay for service is up front, and there's a strict consent policy (you can thank Jerry). The age limit might be a tad on the subjective side for observing the dancers, but the brothel does keep a strict no-underage policy in both those it employs and services.
A formerly shady casino in the entertainment district that is now full glamor and renamed Queens. Classy and minimalist but not gaudy, it's run, staffed, and heavily patronized by Chosen. The most popular game played here is Queen's Blood. There's also the standard casino games available in spades -- poker, slots, roulette, baccarat, blackjack, and so forth.
Alcohol, music, and dancing can also be enjoyed here. There's a low-key bar for those looking to have a conversation where they can hear one another over the pleasant live jazz, and a much livelier dance floor set off to the side in a different part of the casino with a DJ playing dance music.
Beneath the casino is a massive underground cavern converted into a fighting arena where tournaments are often held.
A medical technology company situated in the western Commercial District. Consists of robust R&D labs (circa 2015), a small manufactory, a warehouse, and sales offices. Though originally dealing with larger customers such as hospitals, Altius will gladly offer services and supplies to individuals with special medical needs. The labs and manufacturing are also available for rent, subject to supervision.
🫖 House of Leaves⇁ [Mitsuru Kirijo] [icequeenly] [📜]
For all book lovers and tea connoisseurs, House of Leaves offers a cosy haven to enjoy both. There are books available to purchase or to read at your table whilst enjoying the large selection of different tea blends. A regularly changing selection of cakes and pastries are also available. There is a small selection of board games at the back, including a chess board. Customers are also welcome to bring their own to play. Both indoor and outdoor seating available.
This is a wholesale company designed to buy manufactured and grown products in bulk and distribute it directly to consumers or to other retailers. The most common product comes from the docks, farmers, distilleries, textile manufactures, raw minerals and metals, and goods from the other known cities. Items are purchased from vendors, brought to site and then distributed to businesses around the city.
Estresol Distribution is located in the commerce district west of the docks and is comprised of multiple warehouses to receive, catalog and distribute product from. Sales people are on site and around the city with the purpose of assisting in a stable and straight forward supply chain.
Smack dab in the middle of Aldrip sits: you guessed it, a post office! Prepared to pack up your parcels and ship them off at the earliest opportunity, with reasonable prices to boot! Nowhere within Aldrip is off limits and packages can be sent even as far as Rumpitur, and the human(oid) and avian delivery workers here will stop at nothing to make sure your mail reaches its destination.
[🏠] The Inn & Tavern⇁ Richard Plantagenet [traumaticus] [📜]
The Inn and the tavern attached to it is the place that welcomes the new Chosen with open arms. There is room and food for everyone! The first month is free for newcomers. The standard rooms are designed for one person, containing a bed, bathroom with shower and bathtub, fridge, study/dining table and bookshelf. Two person rooms and so on are available with request. Downstairs there is the tavern where residents and other customers alike can go grab a bite and drink. The menu seems to really favor the poultry over other dishes, though.
🥕 Garnet Community Gardens⇁ Zekarion Altius [chimericalclaw] [📜]
Located in the residential district, these carefully planned gardens are primarily utilized for the purposes of growing food to mitigate shortages caused by the city's frequent disasters. However, there are a number of plots available for anyone who wishes to utilize them for a small maintenance fee. In-ground and above ground plots are available, as well as a few semi-covered spaces for more sensitive plants.
Originally founded by Rin [maeistas], who has since left Expiation, the shop is now run by another dainty woman. It remains situated where Aldrip is busiest, offering plenty of foot traffic. Commissions, including personal designing of clothing are welcome, as well as clothing repair. All services are offered to both men and women, and while it isn't necessary, patrons are encouraged to provide their own wool and materials.
If asked about Rin, the woman will simply look confused. She will also insist that she herself is the only Rin she knows, has been running the shop the whole time.
Likewise, when asked about the name of the shop, the woman will act as if there is nothing strange about it. When saying the shop's name, her lips will look like she's saying "Rin's," though her voice seems to abruptly go mute, like a speaker cutting out.

For all your metal needs, from weapons to armor, repairs, and more. For a price, various swords, daggers, polearms, bullets, various types of bows can be made. If you can describe it well enough or, even better, draw an example or model, it can be done. Your choice of metal; bring your own materials if you're picky. Blades can also be sharpened, or purchase your own sharpening stone so you can do it yourself.
And on the topic of price, Aldrip's strange coins are also made here.
NOTE: As of May 2024 this business was overtaken by Silco
It is not strange to see this traveling merchant's noble horse, or his cart of wares, before seeing the man himself. He has a slim build, and can usually be found lurking busy areas around town out of lack of his own establishment. Most often, you can see him at the bars of the tarvern attached to the inn, or the inn lobby. When the weather permits, he is sometimes outside to snag foot traffic and more recently, he has also taken to the local restaurants, offering some extra, much-needed seasonings and spices for their food.
His wares change and vary wildly, depending on what he feels the community needs. It is not unusual to hear whispers about him seeming suspicious or shady. Most shady of all is a service that he doesn't openly speak about, nor will anyone else: he is able to alter your parchment scroll temporarily to change your name, your crime, and whatever else you need. He won't tell you that this is a temporary change, so unless you are warned, that will be a lesson hard-learned on your own.
Then again, if that is the kind of service you ask for, perhaps you don't have room to judge him...
A quaint flower shop that offers bouquets for special occassions, such as the Day of Devotion, but is also open all year for birthdays, apologies, and other days that may be celebrated from the Chosen's home worlds. The Chosen are also encouraged to purchase the flowers as offerings to Those Who Were There.
The Chosen are free to gather their own flowers, ask for advice, or even learn how to create their own bouquets for personalized touch and meaning.

Located by the Talion Sea with a scenic view on the water. Outwardly, the shack appears quite ordinary, even small. It offers a couple tables on the inside to sit and enjoy your meal, but most patrons will take it outside to hear the sound of gentle waves to match the view.
Unsurprisingly, they specialize in seafood, offering shrimp, crab, and various types of fish. The food may taste quite bland, however, prompting many to make and carry their own seasonings, or purchase some from the shady merchant who might just be hanging around...
» NOTE: As of January 2024, this business was taken over by Silco.
Located on the outskirts of Pessiria forest in a meager forest hut. They specialize in sandwiches and offer varying types and sizes of bread, including white, rye, wheat, and more. They also carry many sandwich ingredients, such as varying meats (ham, turkey, chicken, fish), greens (lettuce, tomatoes, onions); but not unlike its seaside sister, it lacks in seasoning and spreads that truly give sandwiches that kick in flavor.
Mayonnaise? Sure. But bring your own salt, pepper, ketchup, and mustard...
» NOTE: As of January 2024, this business was taken over by Silco.
Just outside of the Aldrip's border, near the entrance of the forest there is isolated wooden sauna. If asked about it, the locals of Aldrip will simply tell that it is free to use to all! They only ask you to chop the firewood to make sure it doesn't run out for the next visitor. There's even a well nearby where the visitor can draw water to throw at the rocks to create the steam or simply to wash themselves. A nice moment of relaxation and self-care to those who need it!
However, if The Chosen decides to linger there for a little bit too long, they might hear faint annoyed murmur from somewhere. What could it be? Well, it's the Sauna Elf obviously! Guardian of the sauna, and someone who will get mad if he'll catch you breaking the rules of the sauna.
Maybe you have an idea for services that may be needed in Aldrip going forward, even if your character wouldn't necessarily be involved. Maybe something came up in a thread and you made up something that you feel should be more game-wide or well known.
Submit your ideas here to this comment, be as detailed as you like regarding the services and the NPC that would be in charge, and we'll take care of the rest.
