TABLETS

When characters appear in the game, there's a little robot that comes up to them and gives them a tablet/phone like the one pictured above. There is a space for a stylus on the tablet, but instead of that there's the parchment of the crime that they're in Expiation for listed on there. There are automatically live-time updates of contacts according to drops and apps. However, if there are characters who are tech-savvy, they may create other profiles to speak with on the network or post anonymously. Otherwise, consider that there's essentially caller ID for text/voice/video when characters speak to each other on the network.

Apps contained on the tablets include:
mAPPS - think Google maps... or a knockoff of it. It does all of the same functions. You can toggle between the city map and world map.

snake, solitaire, tile master, 2048, word search, wordle, and Tetris.

notepad* - can also double as a diary app, if needed. It's customizable.

contact list

paint program - think of something similar to MS Paint.*

camera*

BOOKS A TRILLION - essentially an e-book site. Also... a place to post your own stories. Fanfiction, maybe?

SUNNY DAY SERVICES - a "mental health" app that might be fairly useless to some. Essentially it's a robotic voice saying things like "Take care of yourself!", "Turn that frown upside down!" and things of that nature. It doesn't seem to give characters any real advice.

* Images or text created in these apps can be posted onto the network if players and characters would like to use them.

There is something also that downloads that's called OKCINDR, that seems to be a dating app. Every other month, after app cycles and new players are accepted into the comms, there will be a sticky post for characters to match up with each other at any given time. It doesn't have to be used immediately, and it can be used intermittently to generate CR in an easy way over the months that they're posted, if need be.

Network appearances, usernames, and anonymity
Characters can choose to use a handle, or to just use their own names on the network. Characters can also submit messages anonymously

Accessibility
Tablets come equipped with voice-to-text functionality, as well as a more robust screen reader.

If there are needs/wants/suggestions for other apps, you may submit those ideas to the mods! And if there are any questions or ideas for what players would like to see with the tablets, please let us know. We'll be glad to clarify or help anyone that needs it.
